What is your name and role at Threat Protect?
My name is Glyn Lewis and I’m an Account Manager at Threat Protect
What is the one piece of tech that you cannot live without?
I love using Shazam, in the days when we could go to places I loved hearing a new tune I’d not listened to before and jumping down a new music rabbit hole
What are you reading/watching at the moment?
My two favourite books I read in 2020 were Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker and Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. They’ve completely changed the way I plan my day, create healthy routines and approach sleeping patterns. If I’m not watching any and all sport, TV wise I’m looking forward to the new series of The Expanse and Stranger Things in 2021.
What would be your ultimate three course meal?
Anything served on a beach with a cold beer
You are a contestant on mastermind. What is your specialist subject?
Either The Simpsons (season 3-8) or The Milwaukee Brewers 2018 season #GoBrewers
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Can’t Take My Eyes Off You – Andy Williams
What is your dream holiday destination?
Wisconsin, during my summer in university I worked at a camp that specialized in helping underprivileged children. I formed a close bond with the people of the state and the kind midwestern spirit and have been back every year since, it’s my home away from home!
I wouldn’t mind stopping off in Barbados on the way home. Oystins fish fry in the day and then off to Harbour Lights for a rum punch in the evening…
If you had a career change, what would you do and why?
Having worked alongside social mobility organisations and charities helping children from difficult backgrounds in the past, I’d love to have more time to devote to that. One of my goals is to start my own charitable initiative in the future.
What is the mantra that you live by?
I have a few that I really like, the two that have helped me most from a professional capacity are:
“You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.” Zig Ziglar
“The common denominator of success is to form the habit of doing things that unsuccessful people don’t like to do.” Albert Gray
